The IFS Lifetime Achievement Award, first introduced as part of IFS’s 40th Anniversary, is now presented biannually at the IFS Annual Conference. We are thrilled by the inspiring nominations submitted for the 2025 award — thank you to everyone who participated in the process!
The recipient of the 2025 IFS Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced soon and honored at the IFS Annual Conference in Illinois, September 18–20.
Nomination Process (Closed for 2025)
Nominations for the 2025 IFS Lifetime Achievement Award closed on April 30th.
IFS community members were invited to nominate individuals who exemplify the spirit of this award. All nominations included a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to the IFS community and were submitted via the official nomination form.
- Self-nominations were not accepted.
- All nominations will remain on file and may be considered for up to two additional award cycles. If you submitted a nomination for the 2023 award, it was automatically included in the 2025 review.
Selection Process
Now that the nomination period has closed, a selection committee comprised of senior leaders at the IFS Institute is reviewing all submissions.
The recipient of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced soon and recognized during the Conference Keynote.
Criteria & Eligibility
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors individuals with at least 10 years of work in the field of IFS who have made a significant and lasting impact.
Award criteria include:
- Exceptional and Enduring Service – Leadership and contributions spanning years of dedication to the IFS community.
- Wisdom & Innovation – Advancement of IFS through new models, research, or approaches that uphold the integrity of the model.
- Mentorship & Community Building – A commitment to mentoring and supporting the growth of the IFS community.
- Self-Leadership – Embodying the qualities of calm, curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, clarity, confidence, and connectedness.
Award Recognition
The recipient of the IFS Lifetime Achievement Award will receive:
- Complimentary registration and hotel accommodations for the IFS Annual Conference
- Recognition during the Conference Keynote
- A feature on the IFS Lifetime Achievement Award webpage
- A handcrafted artisan glass award
