IFS Institute Response to COVID-19

IFS News
Coronavirus and IFS Trainings

The following letter from IFS Institute CEO, Jon Schwartz was sent to participants and staff for upcoming IFS Trainings on March 9th, 2020. We continue to monitor the situation very closely and are making decisions regarding in progress trainings on a daily basis.

Dear IFS Institute Community,

Amidst the risks and uncertainties brought on by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that IFS Institute is monitoring its impact on a daily basis and taking all necessary and appropriate measures for the benefit of the IFS community.  As an international training organization, we feel an obligation to effectively communicate with you the impact that the Coronavirus is having on our training programs and other in-person gatherings. Your health and safety are our top priorities (you may wish to visit these websites for additional information:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/summary.html and https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public).

We are making decisions now about how best to proceed with training programs based on government travel advisories/restrictions, local and state government advisories, and the day-to-day feedback we’re receiving from IFS Institute staff, trainers, training participants, and the entire IFS community. While we are monitoring the outbreak as it develops, we are in daily contact with our team to make the most informed decisions on all fronts, including about whether or when to make changes in our training scheduling and approach.

As of this moment, all training programs are continuing as scheduled.  However, in the event that it becomes unsafe or unwise to hold a training, IFS Institute is making immediate preparations to transfer the training into an online setting in lieu of our in-person trainings.  This way, those of you who are currently in a training can continue your training experience uninterrupted, and for those of you who may have a training coming soon, you’ll be able to attend the training without postponement or cancellation.  With the dramatic increase in IFS training popularity, we know how difficult it has been for many of you to enroll in a training!

We will have more information about the potential for an online training approach if and when circumstances dictate that this step becomes necessary.  Until then, we wanted to keep you updated as to what we’re doing in preparation for the possible constraints presented by the Coronavirus and do all we can to continue our training programs on schedule without a diminishment in quality.

  • Whether you are enrolled in a training that has already begun or are in one that has yet to start, please know that we will be in touch with greater detail if there are changes, considerations or special instructions for your training program.
  • If you are thinking about applying for a training program, we encourage you to do so.  Specifics about each training are at www.IFS-Institute.com, and each training’s webpage includes a detailed informational brochure for you.   If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

We wish you good health during this anxious moment in history.  May your Self leadership and generous spirit serve as a steadying force during these unsteady times.

Warm regards,

Jon Schwartz
