IFS Institute Welcomes Three New Team Members!

In the January issue of our newsletter, we announced that we were hiring for three roles. We had a considerable response to our job postings and are pleased to announce that Anna Rubley is now our Director of Operations and Donna Carter is our Director of Talent Management. We have also hired Jennifer Tewell as our Digital Community Manager to manage our growing social media community.  

Anna Rubley, Director of Operations

Anna brings a wealth of experience in operations and administration in a variety of fields including mental health, direct care services, operations and special projects for the Dean of Columbia University School of Social Work. Her most recent role was managing director at the national office of Planned Parenthood, and for the last several years she has been sharing her expertise with industries that range from jazz in Harlem, black classical theater, and commercial construction. Anna has a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in financial management from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, as well as a Master of Social Work from Simmons School of Social Work in Boston.

As Director of Operations, Anna will lead the operation and expansion of IFSI programs to meet our programs’ growing demand. Anna will also work in collaboration with other team members to build the infrastructure (e.g., people, systems) required to deliver other types of learning events (e.g., workshops) beyond our existing Level 1, 2 and 3 programs. Anna is from Springfield, Illinois.

 

Donna Carter, Director of Talent Management

Donna is a certified human resources professional who brings a wealth of experience in talent management, human resources and training, workforce planning and global leadership in growing organizations. An established Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) leader, in her last role, Donna was integral in the formation of the first DE&I council for Catalent Pharma Solutions and ensured DE&I training for all leaders across the organization. Donna holds a Master’s Degree in Adult & Continuing Education, with a Human Resources Development concentration from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Devry University.

As Director of Talent Management, Donna will play an integral role in designing, evolving, and leading our strategic efforts to recruit, develop, and retain trainers and program staff to support the growing demand for IFS programs and other types of learning events (e.g., workshops).

Donna has a daughter who took this lovely photo of her, and Donna enjoys scrapbooking, spending time with family and gardening. Donna is from Winchester, Kentucky.

Jen Tewell, Digital Community Manager

Headshot of Jen TewellJen is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked almost exclusively with marginalized individuals and families. She has also spent 15 years running a marketing and communications consulting business where she worked on policy and legislative campaigns as well as community building, including a successful Red Flag Campaign against intimate partner violence. Jen has supported our growing Facebook Community on a volunteer basis for over two years and we're thrilled to be bringing her on in this full-time role.

As Digital Community Manager, Jen will oversee administration of our various online communities, collaborate on social media strategy, and campaign creation, and assist with customer support. Jen is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
