At the Institute, we are building a strong organization by strengthening our team, its leadership and management. Since we last communicated with you, we have added more people to our team and we currently have open roles.
Luis Vega Sorrosal
Luis Vega Sorrosal re-joined the Institute in mid-May as the Director of International. Luis returned to the organization after holding the same role in 2011. He said, “I feel really excited to re-join this amazing organization and hope to contribute my best to continue IFSI's international expansion."
Luis focuses on the Institute’s International operations. As a lawyer and Business Administration and Management graduate, Luis has held roles such as Associate Lawyer and, more recently, General Counsel, where he provided in-house legal advice in areas such as corporate, finance, regulatory, and capital markets in the infrastructure and real estate sectors. A significant part of his role in the past has been to expand companies abroad and he has strong expertise working with directors, managers and lawyers in different cultures and jurisdictions.
Based in Madrid, Spain, Luis has a passion for IFS and has completed Levels 1 and 2. He says, “I am fascinated with the IFS model and initiative and love international and multicultural challenges.”
The Institute also welcomed Eliza Dudek in mid-June as a Talent Management Coordinator.
Based in Illinois, Eliza worked for over 15 years in business operations and asset management and brings considerable experience in investor and stakeholder communications. As the Talent Management Coordinator, Eliza will serve as the administrative liaison with the training community and will communicate with IFSI administrators, trainers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion related to talent management activities.
Eliza enjoys gardening, birdwatching, traveling and spending time with her two Jack Russell Terriers.
Amanda Jorgensen joined the Institute in early June as the Conference Manager, temporarily filling in for our existing Conference Manager who is on maternity leave.
Amanda has over 20 years of experience in the conference and events industry, spanning content, program production, operations, sales, and marketing through her work with organizations across North America, the Caribbean and Europe. Amanda has considerable expertise in building and starting new conferences, and product lines, and opening new regions and offices. She has held senior-level positions in organizations, including Public Sector Network, Momentum Events, and Ragan Communications where she was responsible for a large portfolio of events across a variety of industries. She was also the Co-Founder and Managing Director for MSE Partners where she coined the phrase Eliminating the Conference Coma, which has now become her event mantra.
Amanda is originally from Wisconsin but works from the island of Barbados where she enjoys spending time at the beach or boating and enjoys rescuing abandoned cats.
