Trainer Promotions - Spring 2023

We're delighted to share the latest round of IFS Trainer promotions. Imma Lloret, and Pilar De La Torre have been promoted to Lead Trainers. Dawn Balcazar has been promoted to Assistant Trainers, and Vanessa Peavy is now an Assistant Trainer Mentee. We're grateful to have these talented individuals working with us and helping meet the demand for IFS Trainings. Read more about each trainer below. 

Lead Trainers 

Headshot of Imma LloretImma Lloret, has been a psychologist and psychotherapist for more than 30 years in Barcelona. As co-founder of Instituto IFS in Spain, the IFS Institute Partner in Spain, she organizes IFS trainings, supervises and facilitates groups together with her private practice where she offers individual and couples psychotherapy.  Imma has worked as an associate professor in Psychology at the Open University of Catalonia, UOC. She is also certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing, and has advanced training in AEDP.  IFS has transformed her life and her vision of the world, and she feels honored to be able to contribute to its growth around the world. 

Imma Lloret Es psicóloga y psicoterapeuta desde hace más de 30 años en Barcelona. Como cofundadora del Instituto IFS en España, organiza formaciones de IFS, supervisa y facilita grupos junto con su consulta privada donde ofrece psicoterapia individual y de pareja.  Imma ha trabajado como profesora asociada en el grado de Psicología de la UOC (Universidad Abierta de Cataluña).  Está certificada en Psicoterapia Sensoriomotriz y Experiencia Somática, y tiene formación avanzada en AEDP.  IFS ha transformado su vida, su visión del mundo y se siente honrada de poder contribuir a su difusión. 

 

Headshot of Pilar De La TorrePilar De La Torre is a therapist certified by IFS Institute and is one of the official organizers for IFS trainings in Spain. She is founder and director of the Institute for Nonviolent Communication and a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication by the Center for NonViolent Communication. Pilar holds a degree in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is a Gestalt Psychotherapist through the Madrileña de Terapia Gestalt School and l' Ecole Parisienne de Therapie Gestalt.  She is specialized in body psychotherapy by l'Ecole de Therapie Gestalt de Bruxelles, and is a Psychopedagogue on leave of absence from the Community of Madrid.  She is qualified by Sociogest (Montréal-Quebec) in the Sociocracy model and in Restorative Circles by Dominique Barter (Switzerland). Pilar has more than 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist trainer and psychotherapist, and is Director of Instituto IFS de Madrid. 

Pilar De La Torre es terapeuta certificada por IFS Institute. Es una de las organizadoras oficiales para la formación IFS en España ella es fundadora y directora del Instituto de Comunicación No Violenta y formadora en Comunicación No Violenta certificada por el Center for NonViolent Communication. Pilar es licenciada en Psicología por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Es Psicoterapeuta Gestáltica por la Escuela Madrileña de Terapia Gestalt y por l’Ecole Parisienne de Therapie Gestalt. Ella es expecializada en psicoterapia corporal por l’Ecole de Therapie Gestalt de Bruxelles. Pilar es Psicopedagoga por oposición en excedencia de la Comunidad de Madrid. Es titulada por Sociogest (Montréal-Quebec) en el modelo de Sociocracia y en Círculos Restaurativos por Dominique Barter (Suiza).  Pilar tiene más de 30 años de experiencia como psicoterapeuta formadora y psicoterapeuta, y es Directora del Instituto IFS de Madrid. 

Assistant Trainer 

headshot of Dawn BalcazarDawn Balcazar, is a doctoral level clinical psychologist, certified IFS therapist, and IFS approved consultant in private practice remotely and in person in Massachusetts. She received her BA from Wellesley College and her Ph.D. from University of MA/Amherst and has been a clinical supervisor at The Trauma Center and Wellesley College. Alongside working within the IFS model, Dawn specializes in psychological trauma, bereavement and enjoys working with the diverse local college student population, particularly first-generation students. Dawn is a nature lover, hiker, sailor, and a dedicated animal rescuer who runs a Caribbean based non-profit cat shelter and rescue.

Headshot of Vanessa peaveyVanessa Peavy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Currently, she is a Therapist/Group Coordinator at the University of Rochester in the university’s counseling center. She is the owner of Take Counseling and Consultation Services providing psychotherapy to address holistic healing and wellness. Vanessa is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Social Work Program at the State University of NY- College at Brockport. Vanessa is very passionate about working with people of all ages and takes special joy in coming along side individuals on their life journey.
