Connecting to Self in Devasting Times
As the Palestinian death toll in Gaza surpasses 30,000 and the conflict continues to cause extraordinary pain and suffering on both sides, we would like to reiterate our support for those in the region and beyond, who are suffering so deeply.
Over the last several months we have heard from many of you who are suffering and struggling. We are holding each of your experiences with tenderness and compassion.
International Women's Day
Happy International Women's Day! IFS Institute celebrates women! We are proud that 78% of our team is women identified and 82% of our trainers are too. Today we are spotlighting IFSI Australian Co-Lead Trainer, Emma Diamond. She shares her experience with IFS as an international woman and how identity informs her practice.
Spotlight on Community Access Partnerships
In the landscape of mental health care, representation matters and the need for culturally competent therapy is critical. IFS Institute works to honor our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through our Community Access Programs; programming that gives organizations the opportunity to bring IFS to various communities. These programs offer discounted IFS Trainings to members of partner organizations.
BLACK HISTORY: HONORING Black IFS Trainers
February is Black History Month - this serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging and confronting systemic injustices while celebrating the rich heritage, achievements, and resilience of Black people around the world. It is a time for dialogue, reflection, and action towards building a more equitable and inclusive society for all. While its origins lie in the United States, its message resonates globally due to the shared experiences of the African diaspora and the ongoing fight against racism, oppression, and inequality.

2023 IFS Institute Conference Highlights
In October, we convened at the highly anticipated 2023 IFS Conference, marking a momentous occasion as we celebrated 40 Years of the IFS Model. For the first time in four years, we gathered in person, with 800 IFS Community Members joining us physically, while a global audience participated virtually through our live-streamed Keynotes.
Focus on: 2023 IFS Institute DEI Highlights
As we reflect on 2023, we want to share with our community some of the ways the IFS Institute is working to apply the principles of our DEI statement. In particular, we want to focus on our commitments to take accountability for our learning, as well as attracting and retaining a more diverse community.
Holding Space for Activated Parts
As tragedies and violence unfold in the Middle East, we would like to acknowledge and hold space for the grief, terror and anger being felt by Israelis, Palestinians, and those among the diaspora in our communities and around the world.
