The 2022 IFS Annual Conference was held October 20-22, fully online for the 2nd year in a row. This year’s theme, Expanding Our Perspectives: Revitalizing Inner Resources brought together nearly 1800 IFS Community members from 47 countries. We had the honor of welcoming 50 presenters who shared their personal experiences with the IFS Model and provided deep insights into the expansion of the IFS Model into new countries, new cultures, and new fields.

Every year, the IFS Conference is an opportunity to not only be together in community and deepen our own knowledge and use of the IFS Model but to take the opportunity to expand our perspectives, and this year’s conference recognized just that.

The workshops featured at the 2022 Conference highlighted some of the many conversations and perspectives the IFS Institute and our community as a whole are exploring. Many of the workshops, especially the plenary sessions embodied the conference theme, Expanding Our Perspectives: Revitalizing Inner Resources – essentially two supporting themes.  Thursday’s Panel Discussions were particularly inspiring; “Bringing IFS to the World” moderated by IFS Assistant Trainer, Kim Paulus with Rosa Maria Bramble Caballero, Chady Rahme, Iryna Natalushko, Caroline Rusabana, Sarah Bergenfield and HeaKyung Kwon. As well as “IFS in the Lives of Men from the Global Majority: A Glimpse into Black and Brown Male Perspectives” moderated by Dr. Philip Butler along with Femi Olukoya, Ty Cutner, Percy Ballard, Victor Cabral, and Dane Ray.

IFS Institute is grateful to have been able to include all of this year’s presenters, many who were first time conference presenters, and honored to have been able to listen to each presenters deep expertise on many topics including sessions like Creating Healing Circles, IFS-Informed Approach to OCD, The Self-Led Mediator, Using the IFS Lens to Include the Autistic Experience in Therapeutic Spaces and many more. It is our hope that many of the conversations started here, are the first of many in an ongoing journey of growth, exploration, and expansion of our own perspectives.

Access to the 2022 IFS Conference Playback is available through December 31, 2022.

As we look at the year ahead, we are delighted that the IFS Conference will be back in-person for the first time in 4 years. The IFS Institute is looking at ways to offer the IFS Conference, in part, online, to continue welcoming all who wish to be part of the IFS Conference. We hope that you’ll join us October 26-28th, in-person or online as we host the 2023 IFS Conference in Denver, Colorado - A Celebration of 40 Years of the IFS Model!
